ARRIVING at TOTARANUI BY NOAH

We finally got off the boat after 2 hours.  When we disembarked, we sat in front of the DOC office.  Then we walked to homestead.  It was a fifteen minute walk. Boys were first in the homestead and girls were in tents. Justius and Noah had a race.  Justius pushed Noah into a ditch.

CAMP RECOUNT DISCO

On the last night of camp the girls were sleeping in the homestead with Miss Sefton.
Miss Sefton said that us girls and Edward had been so good that we could have a disco.
So we got changed into our pjs and got out the jump jam CDs and we danced to them for about half an hour. When the time reached 10 to 11 we decided to call it a night. We got tucked up in our sleeping bags and turned the lights out. We talked for about 10-15 minutes before going to sleep.DISCO BY DYLAN AND JORDAN on PhotoPeach

CONCERT

On Monday 14th Parklands school Rooms 2 and 3  went on a camp at Totaranui camping grounds. On Thursday at about 6pm straight after tea we had a camp concert with  9 acts - Fear Factor Food Ed, Charleys 2x teachers pranks, William did a back flip off a table, Carlos did the moon walk etc, and 4 girls did jump jam.  Jordan F and some other girls played a prank on Smiddy and there was Jack, Kendall and Jacob's - And that was just about it!

Hi my name is Ashton. I like to scooter and ride BMX.

CAMP RECOUNT FISHING BY CARLOS AND WHITU.

Our topic is fishing.  We are  going to make a slide show of us catching fish and maybe catching some seaweed.  We are going to put some music and some pictures to make it look cool.  It's some of the pictures we took on camp.  Whitu caught a spotty and I caught nothing.   Whitu let me hold one and it fell out of my hands and it got away.  On Thursday we went fishing but we caught nothing.  It was sad but at the end we all had a shower and a feed.  By Carlos

More about fishing.  I was fishing at Goat Bay and I caught a couple of spotties.  Carlos held the fish and he dropped  it in the water and it got away.  Later we saw a sting ray and on Thursday we went fishing again at the Totaranui.   We caught nothing and when we got back we were soaked and at the end we had a feed. FOOD at TOTARANUI CAMP

The food was excellent and we thank the cooks for cooking it and the teachers for organising the menu.  The first night we had lasagna. The next day we had cereal and toast with baked beans and spaghetti . For lunch we had buns. For dinner we had left over lasagna . The next day breakfast was the same as yesterday. Lunch was american hot dogs. For dinner we had nachos. On Thursday we had the same breakfast. Lunch was buns with bacon and chips. Dinner was roast. On Friday morning breakfast we had spaghetti ,baked beans, toast and cereal. Then we finally  went home.

CAMP RECOUNT SWIMMING BY BRENDON,THOMAS

When we were swimming  we played a game girls vs boys. You got to keep the ball and they tried to steal the ball off you and psSSS! the water was cold, said the girls. And it was fun. I was pro.  Sometimes we had some pileups. It was fun but the boys smashed up only when Thomas and Carlos was on the boys team and that was the end.Thomas brendon on PhotoPeach

CAMP DIARY. THE ROCKY SHORE

We went to the rocky shore and went exploring.  On the rocks were found lots of crabs and starfish and even found some mussels and kina. When we were at Goat Bay people went swimming and some people stayed on the rocks. It was amazing. We had a really good day.

Kelsey's camp beach fun

It's the middle of our camp week. We head to the beach with cones, a frisbee and a rugby ball. We set the cones up and play a game of touch. We dodge and duck around in the sand. After a while we bring out the frisbee. My group plays ultimate frisbee and it's great for teamwork. The other groups finish and join us in the water with the rugby ball.
This was the day of beach fun.
