FOOD at TOTARANUI CAMP

The food was excellent and we thank the cooks for cooking it and the teachers for organising the menu.  The first night we had lasagna. The next day we had cereal and toast with baked beans and spaghetti . For lunch we had buns. For dinner we had left over lasagna . The next day breakfast was the same as yesterday. Lunch was american hot dogs. For dinner we had nachos. On Thursday we had the same breakfast. Lunch was buns with bacon and chips. Dinner was roast. On Friday morning breakfast we had spaghetti ,baked beans, toast and cereal. Then we finally  went home.

CAMP RECOUNT SWIMMING BY BRENDON,THOMAS

When we were swimming  we played a game girls vs boys. You got to keep the ball and they tried to steal the ball off you and psSSS! the water was cold, said the girls. And it was fun. I was pro.  Sometimes we had some pileups. It was fun but the boys smashed up only when Thomas and Carlos was on the boys team and that was the end.Thomas brendon on PhotoPeach

CAMP DIARY. THE ROCKY SHORE

We went to the rocky shore and went exploring.  On the rocks were found lots of crabs and starfish and even found some mussels and kina. When we were at Goat Bay people went swimming and some people stayed on the rocks. It was amazing. We had a really good day.

Kelsey's camp beach fun

It's the middle of our camp week. We head to the beach with cones, a frisbee and a rugby ball. We set the cones up and play a game of touch. We dodge and duck around in the sand. After a while we bring out the frisbee. My group plays ultimate frisbee and it's great for teamwork. The other groups finish and join us in the water with the rugby ball.
This was the day of beach fun.

HOW TO INSERT SIDE-BY-SIDE IMAGES IN A POST IN NEW BLOGGER

1. Put your cursor where you want to insert the images.
2. Click the Insert image icon (little photo icon)
3. Choose file and find your images. Use Right-hand view icon. Select the top image, hold down the Shift key and select the bottom. Select Wait for them to load.
4. Add selected
5. Click each image (bubble) and make it Small
6. Click the images again and position the top image Left and the next one Centre
7. Put your cursor on the right side of the centred image and press the left arrow button on the keyboard. The cursor will now flash on the left side.
8. Now press Delete (Mac) or Backspace (PC) until the image comes up to the right of the top one.
9. Repeat with another pair.
10. If you want to include a caption, go to the bubble and choose Add Caption. You can see where to type it.

VISIT by NORM HEWITT

Haka performed by audience with Norm joining in.

The senior school were visited by Norm Hewitt, ex-all black and star dancer  who spoke about care of animals and how this carries over to care for each other.  The audience performed an appreciative haka in which Norm participated with obvious enjoyment.
